This is the ultimate festive cocktail for thanksgiving dinner and holiday parties! This Apple Cider Sangria pitcher is infused with fresh apples, cinnamon, and herbs to create a fan-favorite, make-ahead cocktail. It is a simple recipe with fresh ingredients that will leave you feeling all the warm fall feelings after the first sip!

What You Need for this Recipe
This blend of ingredients comes together into a beautiful medley of fall flavors. The ingredient list is not at all complicated and you should be able to find them easily in your local grocery store. Trust me when I say, you won’t have to go out of your way to make this!
- White Wine or Rose : It does not have to be anything fancy, just a standard white wine or rose will act as a good base for this drink. For mine, I used the Hampton Water Rose.
- Apple Cider : I’m a big fan of apple cider, especially in the fall. Add a spiced sweetness to the sangria and will provide a solid base that you will be able to taste but won’t overpower the drink.
- Ginger Ale : the subtle ginger flavor really elevates this warm flavor profile!
- Sliced apples: This is an absolute must for this apple cider sangria recipe. The fruit infuses flavor into the sangria, but my favorite part is eating the boozy apple slices at the end.
- Cinnamon sticks & Rosemary : These will infuse those subtle earthy flavors to the sangria.
- Cranberries: Since this is fall/winter drink, I love to throw in the cranberries for the aesthetic. You can totally leave it out if you don’t have them.

How to Make This
Whip up a pitcher of this delicious sangria in a matter of minutes! Follow these simple steps to create this delicious fall drink:
- Slice the apples and be sure to leave the peels on! Toss them into a pitcher.
- Pour the apple cider, wine, ginger ale, rosemary, cinnamon and cranberries into the pitcher. Cover the pitcher.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to fuse together. Overnight would be ideal.
- Serve over ice and garnish with a few pieces of fruit!

How far ahead of time can you make Sangria?
You can make this festive drink up to two days before it needs to be served, but 24 hours would be ideal! I would be wary of making it more than two days ahead of time, though, because you do not want the apple to go bad inside the drink and ruin all of your hard work.
What type of wine should you use?
You don’t need to buy a super expensive wine that’ll break your purse for this sangria, but you also want to stray away from super cheap wine that will ruin the taste of your well-put-together sangria. Find a good in-between that is inexpensive and maybe has a little bit of a fruity flavor to it. A good trick to picking the right wine is that it should be drinkable on its own. If it’s not, chances are your other ingredients won’t fix the taste and you’ll just end up with an unbearable cocktail.
