When I started my weight loss journey, I quickly learned that small food swaps can go a very long way! While I’m on a calorie deficit, I try to swap some higher calorie, lower protein with lower calorie, higher protein foods. This does not always mean choosing the lower calorie option. Instead, I focus on finding the balance between choosing foods I love and finding ways to make them fit into my calorie deficit. In this video, I show you what a typical summer grocery haul looks like for me at Trader Joes! Before you watch, just a note that I don’t get all my groceries at Trader Joes. We usually get the staples at Walmart and reserve Traders Joes for more fun foods, seasonal items and specialities.
